As of March 17, 2020, Andrew Allen of California Wedding Officiant is under a mandatory “Shelter in Place” order that applies to all six San Francisco Bay Area counties.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the chaos and uncertainty that it is causing in the Wedding Industry worldwide, California Wedding Officiant will be observing a temporary moratorium on making new commitments to officiate weddings that feature large groups or gatherings. If you need to have a small wedding urgently,  a select few elopement style ceremonies are available in the Brentwood/Antioch CA area. Go to the Pandemic Civil Elopements Page for more information

If we all stay alert and follow the recommended guidelines, hopefully, this difficult and challenging time will conclude as soon as possible. Please refer to the Website for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and your local jurisdiction for the latest information and best practices. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones as we all work together to end this crisis. This ordeal is a good reminder of how interdependent we all are on each other.

UPDATE 7/1/2020

Even with the escalating out of control spread of COVID-19, in California and throughout the US, California Wedding Officiant remains committed to offering a magical and memorable wedding ceremony while ensuring the health and safety of the bride and groom, attendees, the officiant, and other vendors. To this end, the couple, members of the wedding party and all guests will be required to wear a mask while attending and/or participating in a wedding ceremony. The CDC and WHO have published guidelines recommending everyone wear cloth face coverings in public settings where social distancing is not always convenient or possible. These mandated procedures will be continually monitored and reevaluated with the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 in the community, the risk of exposure to an infected person continues to increase, even in people without typical symptoms.

Although universal masking greatly decreases the risk of infection, other recommended precautions should also be followed, such as;

  • Washing hands frequently and carefully
  • Avoiding touching the face
  • Not shaking hands and hugging people
  • Not sharing personal items
  • Covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing
  • Take physical (social) distancing very seriously
  • Self-quarantining if sick

The California Wedding Officiant “Happily Ever After Plan”

1. Questionnaire/Contact Form

In order to help you, I need to know a bit about you and your wedding day. Please fill me in with these few details by completing the Contact Form. If you prefer, I can also email you a Questionnaire.

2. Brochure

When you complete the Contact Form, you will automatically receive a digital brochure with all of the available Packages and Fees. I will also send a detailed quote for the package that seems the most appropriate for you based on your input.

3. Schedule a Consultation Meeting (Wonderful Wedding and Marvelous Matrimony packages only)

Use the Handy Online App, to schedule a meeting, either in person or via online video chat.

4. Ceremony Script Creation

Based on your input, I will craft a first draft/sample ceremony script that will have a variety of ideas, options, and alternatives.

During the meeting, I will go over the text and walk you through it. You will bring your thoughts and ideas, and I will bring my experience and resources. The three of us will collaborate to compose a "Magical and Memorable" ceremony script for your special day.

5. Contract and Deposit

If, after the meeting, you decide that California Wedding Officiant is a good fit, I will email you a formal proposal which spells out all the details of what we have agreed to. It will have a link which makes it easy to send a retainer deposit with any major bank card. Once complete, your wedding date and time will be reserved on my calendar. We will continue to communicate and fine-tune all the details of your ceremony right up until your “Big Day.”

5 Star Review

"Andrew was amazing! Monica and I were so happy we found Andrew. After doing a search on the Internet for an officiant, we came across Andrew which felt like a good match. He was quick to respond to my inquiry and exceptionally friendly. I think the first time Andrew and I spoke over the phone, we spoke for more than 20 minutes just getting to know each other and feeling each other out.

Andrew was just as polite and friendly in person as he was over the phone. He explained to us how everything works and showed us a sample of the script. Andrew was so flexible in making changes we requested for certain cultural traditions for our ceremony.

On the wedding day, Andrew arrived early and ready to go. He had a calming demeanor about him which helped me and my wife stay calm throughout the ceremony. After the ceremony, Andrew helped us complete all the proper paperwork which he filed for us the next day because he just so happened to be by the county clerk's office.

I can't say anything more about Andrew. He was easy to communicate with via email and just an overall great officiant and amazing person."
