Even with the escalating out of control spread of COVID-19, in California and throughout the US, California Wedding Officiant remains committed to offering a magical and memorable wedding ceremony while ensuring the health and safety of the bride and groom, attendees, the officiant, and other vendors. To this end, the couple, members of the wedding party and all guests will be required to wear a mask while attending and/or participating in a wedding ceremony. The CDC and WHO have published guidelines recommending everyone wear cloth face coverings in public settings where social distancing is not always convenient or possible. These mandated procedures will be continually monitored and reevaluated with the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 in the community, the risk of exposure to an infected person continues to increase, even in people without typical symptoms.
Although universal masking greatly decreases the risk of infection, other recommended precautions should also be followed, such as;
Washing hands frequently and carefully
Avoiding touching the face
Not shaking hands and hugging people
Not sharing personal items
Covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing
Take physical (social) distancing very seriously
Self-quarantining if sick
